The Elves’ Hideaway program
The day starts at the Visitor Center, where the elves hand out the secret map of Tonttula. The map leads along the Elves’ Paths through the snow-covered forest to the Elves’ Hideaway. The shorter route is about 500 metres; the longer adventure trail is just over a kilometre.
At the Hideaway: Gingerbread House (bake and decorate your own cookies), Elf School (handmade Christmas crafts), Seita Stone (explore the underground world of elves and gnomes), Hut of Knowledge, elves’ reindeer fence (guests may enter), elves’ football area and the toboggan hill (December–March).
Santa’s new home
Santa’s new mountain home: office, kitchen, wardrobe of travel costumes, bedroom with Christmas books. A secret door leads to the History Room. The route continues to the audiovisual exhibition where a talking tree shares Lapland’s fairytales.
The private family meeting with Santa Claus
Each family’s meeting time with Santa is given on arrival at the Visitor Center. A magical elevator ride takes the family to Santa’s personal room. One family at a time, approximately 5 minutes. Every child receives a small gift. Letters can be handed over in person. Photography permitted; video recording not permitted. Arrive at the Santa meeting point approximately 10 minutes before the scheduled time.
Please note
